During the Move

The space in the processing area started to empty out as we cleared the space for the new shelving

All of the collections had to be moved acrosss the hall and placed onto the current shelving. The racks are the new shelving that was the primary focus of the fundraising campaign.

An empty Room 1 is layed out with blue tape to mark where the shelving should be placed.

This timline outlines the tasks to be completed in order to have the move done by Homecoming, 2011

The physical move of the arhives collection took place during the summer, using Nease Library Employees. Before we could move boxes, however, each box had to be labeled with some idea as to what it contained. Then we had to lay out how and where the shelving was to be constructed in the storage rooms.
